Six Supports for Scarborough

CASISDEAD

A new wave of artists has been added to the line-up for this year’s TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

Alt rocker Du Blonde, rising DJ Katie Owen, singer-songwriter Katy J Pearson, underground rap heavyweight CASISDEAD, indie-pop band The Hidden Cameras and soul singer James Emmanuel have all been added to the bill for this summer’s 28-date series at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

Du Blonde support the double headlining show from Skunk Anansie and Garbage on Saturday June 20, while Katie Owen opens the night for Billy Ocean’s seaside date on Sunday June 28.

Also joining the bill is Katy J Pearson for CMAT on Saturday July 18, CASISDEAD for The Streets on Saturday August 1 and The Hidden Cameras, as special guests to Scissor Sisters on Sunday August 8.

Rounding off the new announcements, James Emmanuel will open the show for Nile Rodgers & CHIC’s season closing party on Saturday August 22.

Final tickets are available now from scarboroughopenairtheatre.com  and ticketmaster.co.uk

Supporting Skunk Anansie and Garbage, Du Blonde is the audacious alt-rock firebrand alter ego of multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual artist Beth Jeans Houghton. After earning acclaim with Beth Jeans Houghton & The Hooves of Destiny, she reinvented herself as Du Blonde, crafting a fiercely DIY, high-voltage sound. Her latest album, Sniff More Gritty, blends explosive riffs with power-pop hooks, while 2025 saw her exhilarating return to the UK stage with a sold-out tour that tore through the country.

Opening for Billy Ocean will be rising Welsh star Katie Owen, who has quickly made her mark as one of the DJ world’s most exciting musical talents. From DJing at the 2022 World Cup to leading SportBible’s Women’s Euros coverage, Katie brings big-stage experience to every performance.

Americana-tinged performer Katy J Pearson joins CMAT as special guest. She has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, including standout support slots with The Last Dinner Party and Wet Leg, as well as her own run of headline dates, featuring a sold-out night at London’s Koko.

The Streets’ special guest, elusive UK rapper CASISDEAD has built a reputation as one of the country’s most inventive lyricists, blending dystopian storytelling with 80s-inspired synth sounds. Since 2013, he has grown a cult following with his masked persona, genre-bending collaborations, and the dark, cinematic world of his DEADCORP concept.

Indie-pop band The Hidden Cameras are Scissor Sisters’ special guest. Last year saw the release of long-awaited meta dance-pop album BRONTO, which inspired remixes from electronic heavyweights including Pet Shop Boys and Vince Clarke.

And opening the night for Nile Rodgers & CHIC with special guests Brand New Heavies is James Emmanuel. James’ musical roots go back to the local church gospel choir in his native Nigeria. Now based in Edinburgh he’s celebrated for his warm soulful performances with his music rooted in family, resilience and joy.

Skunk Anansi and Garbage, Billy Ocean, CMAT, Scissor Sisters, The Streets and Nile Rodgers & CHIC join a stellar lineup at this year’s TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre, including Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Hollywood Vampires, Pete Tong, Paul Weller, Bastille, Richard Ashcroft, Anastacia, James Taylor and Teddy Swims.
