Grammy-winning artist Joe Jackson will perform at York Barbican on Wednesday 7 October 2026 as part of his UK tour celebrating the release of his new album Hope and Fury. The show forms part of a seven-date run across the country, following an extensive North American tour earlier in the year.
Set for release on 10 April 2026, Hope and Fury is already being hailed as one of Jackson’s finest records. The album showcases nine new songs full of sharp wit, inventive rhythms and clever lyricism — a return to what Jackson calls his “own mainstream” of sophisticated pop, with influences ranging from Latin jazz to funk and classic rock. Recorded between Berlin and New York with his long-time collaborators, it’s an album that finds the artist in top form both musically and vocally.
Known for classic albums such as Night and Day, Laughter and Lust and Fool, Joe Jackson remains one of Britain’s most distinctive musical voices. His career spans five decades, 14 studio albums and countless live shows across the world. The Hope and Fury tour will see him perform highlights from his extensive catalogue alongside the new material, backed by his long-time band of Graham Maby, Teddy Kumpel, Doug Yowell and Paulo Stagnaro.
