Manchester legends James are set to play Leeds First Direct Arena on Saturday 4 April 2026 as part of their huge ‘Love Is The Answer’ UK arena tour. The dates coincide with the release of Nothing But Love – The Definitive Best Of, a new career-spanning collection that celebrates four decades of one of Britain’s most enduring and beloved bands.
Due for release on 21 November 2025 via UMR, Nothing But Love – The Definitive Best Of charts the band’s journey from their earliest singles through to fan favourites, along with two new tracks, ‘Wake Up Superman’ and ‘Hallelujah Anyhow’. Both were produced by Leo Abrahams, who worked with James on their 2024 number one album Yummy. ‘Wake Up Superman’ received its world premiere on BBC Radio 2’s Vernon Kay Show earlier this month.
The collection will be released in several formats, including a deluxe 3CD set featuring commentary from band members and the original Rough Trade version of ‘Sit Down’, available to buy for the first time in 35 years. Vinyl fans can look forward to a 5LP box set featuring 14 tracks making their vinyl debut, alongside a 2LP coloured highlights edition.
James will be joined by very special guests Doves, making for a line-up that brings together two of the North West’s most acclaimed acts. The tour will also visit Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London and Manchester, but Yorkshire fans can catch them at Leeds First Direct Arena for what’s set to be one of the standout live shows of 2026.
With timeless anthems like ‘Sit Down’, ‘Laid’ and ‘Come Home’ alongside new material that proves their creative fire still burns bright, James continue to connect generations of fans – and their 2026 return to Leeds promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
