Iconic space rock pioneers Hawkwind are set to land in Leeds this summer, delivering a full-throttle sonic journey at the O2 Academy on Sunday 3rd August 2025. The tour supports their acclaimed new album There Is No Space For Us, released earlier this year to widespread praise.

With over 50 years of boundary-breaking music behind them, Hawkwind continue to evolve while staying true to their cosmic roots. Fans can expect a spectacular live experience featuring immersive light shows, hypnotic visuals, and a genre-defying blend of psychedelic rock, electronica, and ambient noise.

New Album: There Is No Space For Us

The band’s 2025 release There Is No Space For Us has been hailed as one of their most adventurous records to date. The album features standout tracks including:

  • “There Is Still Danger There” – a thunderous opening track
  • “Neutron Stars” – a swirling, theremin-laced cosmic freak-out
  • “The Co-Pilot” – a sci-fi infused epic full of synth-laden soundscapes

The album sees the band tackle dystopian futures and interstellar themes, all delivered through Hawkwind’s trademark blend of pulsating rhythms, shimmering synths, and raw guitar energy.

Line-Up and Legacy

Still helmed by founder and space rock visionary Dave Brock, the current Hawkwind line-up includes long-time drummer Richard Chadwick, multi-instrumentalist Magnus Martin, bassist Doug MacKinnon, and synth maestro Tim “Thighpaulsandra” Lewis.

Blending deep-cut classics with bold new material, this tour offers both nostalgia and discovery—perfect for long-time followers and new fans alike.
