The Queen of British Soul, Beverley Knight MBE, is heading back on the road in June 2026 for a brand-new UK tour that promises to showcase her powerhouse vocals and her remarkable journey through music and theatre. Yorkshire fans will get two chances to see her live when she performs in Sheffield and York.
After a run of critically acclaimed performances in the West End and a sold-out 50th birthday tour, Beverley Knight is returning with something a little different. Her upcoming ‘Born to Perform’ shows will take audiences on a journey through her life in music and theatre – combining her biggest hits with songs that have inspired her along the way, performed with her trademark warmth and energy.
“I’m excited to get back on the road but with a different kind of show folk are used to with me,” Beverley said. “‘Born to Perform’ is me taking you on a journey through my life on both music and theatre stages, using my memories and of course my songs. I’m stripping back my sound so the audience can lean in a little closer and really hear my soul.”
Wolverhampton-born Knight has long been regarded as one of Britain’s finest vocalists, with a career spanning chart hits, collaborations with legends including Prince and Stevie Wonder, and show-stealing turns on stage in productions such as The Bodyguard, Memphis The Musical, Sister Act, and Cats. Her portrayal of Emmeline Pankhurst in Sylvia at The Old Vic earned her an Olivier Award in 2023, while her latest stage role in Marie & Rosetta has brought further acclaim.
With over a million albums sold, multiple MOBO Awards, and a 2023 album – The Fifth Chapter – that reaffirmed her status as one of the UK’s greats, Beverley Knight remains a national treasure whose voice and presence only seem to grow stronger with time. Fans can expect an evening of passion, stories, and timeless soul when she brings ‘Born to Perform’ to Yorkshire next summer.
