Music icon Tom Jones has today announced his return to Yorkshire this summer with two massive outdoor headline performances as part of his Come Gather Round tour.
The legendary Welsh singer will headline TK Maxx Presents Live at The Piece Hall, Halifax on Saturday July 25, before heading to TK Maxx Presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday July 26. He will be joined on both nights by British soul favourites Stone Foundation.
The shows mark a welcome return to both venues for Tom. He previously performed two sold-out nights at The Piece Hall in 2022 and 2024, while his upcoming Scarborough appearance will be his fifth at the Open Air Theatre, following a sold-out show there in 2024.
Over an incredible career spanning more than six decades, Tom Jones has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and remains one of the most enduring and influential performers in music history. Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, he has also earned multiple BRIT Awards, a Silver Clef Award, the prestigious Music Industry Trusts Award, and a Hitmaker Award from the US Songwriters Hall of Fame.
At the age of 85, Tom continues to captivate audiences across the globe. His live shows remain a masterclass in vocal power and stage presence, with fans able to expect a set
Joining Tom in both Halifax and Scarborough will be Stone Foundation, the eight-piece soul collective widely regarded as one of the UK’s finest modern soul acts. With four consecutive UK Top 40 albums and a reputation for uplifting, full-band live performances, they are the perfect addition to an evening celebrating one of music’s greatest voices.
Nicky Chance-Thompson MBE DL FRSA, CEO of The Piece Hall Trust, said: “British music legends don’t come much bigger than Tom and we can’t wait to welcome him back with this brand-new hit-filled show.
“His connection with the audience and the way his powerful voice is amplified so beautifully in our stunning courtyard have made his previous gigs absolutely magical. I know he loves this very special and unique venue, and how could he not feel at home with our stunning valley backdrop and the warmest of welcomes from his legions of passionate fans. This night will be an absolute treat.”
Julian Murray, of Scarborough Open Air Theatre promoters Cuffe and Taylor, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Tom Jones back to Scarborough Open Air Theatre for the fifth time. He’s always a huge favourite here, and the atmosphere is fantastic whenever he steps on stage. With such a brilliant crowd, we’re sure this will be another unforgettable night this summer.”
