Rock N Roll Circus returns to Sheffield for its biggest year yet, confirming American rock titans Queens of the Stone Age as the festival’s opening headliner. The event, set for August 2025 at Don Valley Bowl, promises more stages, a bigger line-up, and jaw-dropping circus entertainment.
Line-up:

Hot on the heels of their latest album, In Times New Roman, Queens of the Stone Age will headline Wednesday night, marking one of just two UK dates in 2025—the other being Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. Joining them are special guests Viagra Boys, Fat Dog, The Bug Club, and So Good.
The Sheffield date holds particular significance for QOTSA, given frontman Joshua Homme’s long-standing connection with the city through Arctic Monkeys, having produced their seminal third album, Humbug. Fans can expect an electrifying set packed with anthems like ‘No One Knows’, ‘Little Sister’ and ‘Emotion Sickness’.

Now a staple of Sheffield’s music scene, Rock N Roll Circus blends top-tier live music with a spectacle of circus performances. The 2025 edition promises an expanded festival experience, including:
Ali O’Reilly, Rock N Roll Circus organiser, said: “We’re taking Rock N Roll Circus to the next level in 2025. Bringing a band such as Queens of the Stone Age to Sheffield is a huge moment for us and we can’t wait to welcome them to the Big Top in August. They are the perfect act to open our celebrations and fit everything that our brand is trying to achieve. It’s been a long time since they’ve performed in this part of the world, and we’re honoured and excited to have them.”
