Morrissey has confirmed a major Yorkshire date for December 2026 as part of a UK arena run in support of his latest studio album, Make-Up Is a Lie.
Following a sold-out headline performance at The O2 in London earlier this year, the iconic singer-songwriter will arrive in the region for a performance at Leeds First Direct Arena on Saturday December 19th.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in British pop as well as one of the finest lyricists of his generation, Morrissey’s live return will see him perform a globally celebrated songbook of hits and fan favourites that has been resonating with audiences for 44 years. The career-spanning setlists are expected to bring together classic solo material, enduring anthems from his time with The Smiths, and selections from the new record.
Across a remarkable career, Morrissey has achieved 25 top ten album placings in the UK, including 15 as a solo artist and 10 with The Smiths. His enduring impact on British guitar music has seen his solo tracks covered by an extraordinary variety of artists, including David Bowie, Nancy Sinatra, The Killers, Chrissie Hynde, and My Chemical Romance. Beyond his studio work, his status as a live draw remains formidable; his legendary 1992 concert at the Hollywood Bowl broke The Beatles’ record as the fastest-ever sell-out at the venue, and in 2013, his Autobiography became the second fastest-selling autobiography of all time in England.
The upcoming performance at Leeds First Direct Arena offers Yorkshire fans a chance to witness one of alternative music’s most theatrical and distinctive voices in a premier arena setting. The winter date follows extensive international touring across North America and mainland Europe earlier this year, serving as a massive homecoming run to close out 2026.
