The Charlatans will bring their 2026 UK tour to Sheffield Octagon on Saturday 2 May, following the release of their brand-new album We Are Love on 31 October. The show forms part of a ten-date run that celebrates both their storied career and an exciting new chapter for one of Britain’s most enduring indie bands.
Marking their first album in eight years, We Are Love sees The Charlatans teaming up with an impressive roster of producers including Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Fred Macpherson (Spector) and Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, The Cranberries). The record captures the sound of a band revitalised, with lead single ‘We Are Love’ described as “a clattering love song to the human race.”
Fronted by Tim Burgess and joined by Martin Blunt, Mark Collins, Tony Rogers and Pete Salisbury, The Charlatans have spent more than 30 years at the heart of British alternative music. With 14 albums, 22 Top 40 singles and three Number One records, their back catalogue includes defining songs such as ‘The Only One I Know’, ‘North Country Boy’ and ‘One to Another’ – all of which continue to light up festival stages and headline tours alike.
