World-renowned Qawwali ensemble Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali Group returns to the UK for a rare, one-night-only performance in the North – a highlight of the Bradford 2025 programme. Set within the grand setting of The Alhambra Theatre, this is a unique opportunity to witness living legends of Sufi music in a spellbinding live setting.
Led by brothers Rizwan Ali Khan and Muazzam Ali Khan – direct descendants of the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan – the group have captivated audiences from Glastonbury to Morocco’s Sacred Music Festival, continuing the 700-year-old spiritual tradition of Qawwali music. Their performances, filled with powerful vocals, hypnotic rhythms, and emotional depth, transcend language and culture, creating a moving communal experience.
The group’s latest album, At the Feet of the Beloved, has received critical acclaim for its profound connection to the Sufi message of love, devotion and divine longing. In live performance, their voices soar and intertwine over driving tabla and harmonium, creating an experience that resonates long after the final note.
Part concert, part spiritual journey – this performance is a rare chance to experience Qawwali music at its most authentic and inspired.
