Multi-BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominee Olivia Dean will play an exclusive acoustic show at Leeds Wardrobe on 7th September, offering fans a rare chance to see her up close and personal in support of her upcoming second album, The Art of Loving.
The intimate date is part of a unique run of in-store-style performances held in collaboration with independent record stores across the UK, with the Leeds event presented in partnership with Crash Records. Known for her deeply soulful voice and emotionally resonant songwriting, Olivia is choosing connection over spectacle for these special shows – and with just 400 capacity at The Wardrobe, this is set to be one of her most personal gigs to date.
Following the critical acclaim of her 2023 debut Messy, Olivia has continued to carve out her place as one of the UK’s most captivating singer-songwriters. Where Messy introduced audiences to her frank storytelling and distinctive blend of neo-soul and pop, The Art of Loving – due for release on 26th September via Capitol Records – promises to deepen the emotional scope even further.
While the new material remains under wraps for now, fans got a taste of Olivia’s evolving artistry through her recent collaboration with Sam Fender. The pair reimagined his track ‘Rein Me In‘, with Olivia adding a new verse and vocals that debuted live at London Stadium in front of 80,000 fans, leading to two further performances together at Newcastle’s St James’ Park.
With tickets and album bundles on sale now, fans in Leeds can look forward to a stripped-back set from one of the UK’s most distinctive voices – offering a closer connection to the music ahead of her next chapter.
