Following a huge run of success that has seen them secure two UK Number 1 albums in 2024 with A Matter Of Time and Liquid Gold, and as they celebrate 30 years of A Maximum High and their defining anthem ‘Chasing Rainbows’, Shed Seven are thrilled to announce the return of their iconic winter tour, ‘Shedcember X’. The tour, marking the 10th edition of their legendary festive run, will see the band arrive in the region for major performances at Sheffield Octagon on Friday November 27th and a double-header at Leeds O2 Academy on Saturday December 12th and Sunday December 13th.
Marking this much-loved festive run, the band have unveiled a heartfelt fan-focused film celebrating the 10th ‘Shedcember’, written and directed by guitarist Paul Banks, capturing the essence of Shed Seven’s shows and the appreciation they have for their dedicated fanbase.
‘Shedcember X’ promises to be their biggest and most celebratory yet. Since its inception in 2007, ‘Shedcember’ has grown into a cult institution for fans, becoming the definitive start to the festive season. On the announcement, lead singer Rick Witter says: “We can’t wait to get out there up and down the UK and soak up what is a unique atmosphere at a Shed Seven gig. Expect the big hits along with a few surprises and the thrill of us all singing our hearts out together for a couple of hours. See you down the front.”
Each night will see the band deliver a career-spanning set packed with anthems including ‘Going For Gold’, ‘Chasing Rainbows’, ‘Disco Down’, ‘On Standby’ and ‘Talk Of The Town’. Special guests The Academic, the Irish indie band with multiple Number 1 albums in their home country, will join across all dates.
The upcoming Yorkshire performances at Sheffield Octagon and Leeds O2 Academy will feature huge atmospheres and special moments that celebrate everything Shed Seven have built over the last three decades. For those who’ve been there before, ‘Shedcember’ needs no introduction. It’s warm beer, bright lights, and songs that never left you. Familiar faces in the crowd, and new ones found somewhere between the first song and the last.
For everyone else, ‘Shedcember X’ is the perfect place to start. Don’t miss out on what promises to be the biggest and best ‘Shedcember’ yet. Because every couple of years… this is where we meet again.
